Katie Ermilio Spring 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the breathtaking Spring 2012 collection by Katie Ermilio.

I think this is the post with the biggest amount of pictures I ever posted - it only proves how much I'm in love with this collection right now! :)

Katie, a 26 year old New York based designer, is a granddaughter of Grace Kelly's personal clothier and with this collection I see where she got her inspiration from! Grace Kelly's glamour and femininity mixed with Jackie-O's timeless chic and elegance makes a perfect combination!

Katie combined it with next season's strongest trends - pastel colours and peplums and there we go - a collection to die for!

I love absolutely everything about this collection - from the soft, pastel colours with a bright splash of fuchsia, mustard and electric blue to the tulip skirts, clean cuts and womanly minimalism. When creating the lookbook for this collection Katie collaborated with a super-talented photographer Jamie Beck who did a truly amazing job, see for yourself...

All White Beach House

Today I dream about this amazing all white beach bungalow located in Cape Town, South Africa.

The house belongs a interior designer Stephen Rich who did an amazing job with the interior - it's contemporary, glamorous and so serene!

The white interior is a perfect background for the blue sky, the sea and the green palm trees. Although the glamour, luxury and elegance of the interior is far from being over-the-top - everything here is in perfect moderation which creates that amazing tranquility that charmed me!

Saturday Recipes - Avocado!

Today I dream about trying all of these creative recipes for dishes involving avocado!

Avocado is known as a great source of energy, vitamins from the groups B and E, potassium... and calories :)

It is one of my favourite fruits - I never knew whether it was a fruit or vegetable, but it is a fruit. Trust me, I checked! - which tastes equally good with some onion in guacamole as it does blended with banana in a smoothie.

Apart from those two and my new favourite - egg baked in avocado which I showed you last week, I never knew what else can be made with avocado, so here's some ideas :)

Grapefruit and Avocado Salad with Shrimp

Avocado and Shrimp Sandwich

Unfortunately the original recipe is in Hungarian, but I tried to translate it and it looks like it's shrimps marinated in chili with lime and tangerine juice served with red onion and sour cream in a toasted baguette or ciabatta type bread.

Elisabeth and James Fall 2012 Collection

Today I dream about the amazing Fall 2012 collection by Elisabeth and James.

It was a first fashion week presentation for Elisabeth and James, the brand founded by the Olsen twins in 2007.

The collection contains all the most popular trends from last winter as well as those for the upcoming summer: peplums, the pyjama trend, metallic details and burgundy colours all mixed together creating something new and fresh. It's modern and very wearable; I like how the masculine tailoring is combined with femininity and I love the mixture of colours and patterns.

The shoes... looks like pointed heels are making a comeback for real, but more than that I like the pointed loafers. There is not even one piece in this collection that I wouldn't want to wear!

Renovated House in Johannesburg

Today I dream about this enchanting house located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The house is not my style at all but the pictures really charmed me with how beautiful, warm and creative the house feels. This beauty belongs to Linda Notelovitz Goodall and Miles Goodall, who run a commercial production company. They spent a year renovating and decorating the building with the help of architect Rocco Bosman.

I love the French feel in the house with the blue shutters in the conservatory, chandeliers and french-inspired furniture in the bedroom and living room. And that garden... it couldn't be more perfect, it looks just like the one from the 'Secret Garden' movie!

I can imagine myself reading books there, surrounded with the sweet smell of roses :) I love to show you houses like that - truly unique, filled with art and more importantly, filled with personality! Enjoy!
